stereo mixer in vista

Hi, im having problems playing through the stereo mixer on vista.... i know about going thro the recording option, then right clicking then show disabled devices etc.... but no soundcard device shows up... i dont ha a stand alone soundcard, its a codec, but there must be someother way to get it to play direct from the codec (soundcard) rather than thro the microphone....does anyone know of a plug in or anything o get this to work :-s

you dont have a soundcard, you have a codec?

are you trying to say you have onboard sound not a pci soundcard?

First select "stereo mixer" in recording controls, then after that, launch yahvox. Then start blasting music

yeah on board, so no device shows up

I did some research, there are some drivers out there that can fix the issue, but theyre fro notebooks. And theres a program called jet audio, that apperenly gives u the mixing controls lacking on vista

  just right click anywhere in the recording comtrl and click show disabled devices. that is all i did. Vista Stero mix works fine for me always have
